This A5 sized painting is on Winsor & Newton 300g cold pressed Watercolour paper and is 8.3 x 5.8 inches unframed . The poem will be printed on Coloured card to compliment the Artwork and it comes with a certificate of Authenticity It can be hung either way, whichever you prefer.
COLOURED VELVET / FLORAL ABSTRACT
Smooth, plush, textured and bumpy,
velvet can be smooth
or velvet can be lumpy,
made into curtains,
thick and warm
or covering sofas
that it adorns;
with coloured velvet
my needs are met.
In stately homes
it stands the test of time
and I love what it does to mine!

I did a set of 4 similar Paintings that look textured or tied and dyed and they reminded me of velvet for some reason! I know velvet is usually smooth but I think it can look rough if you brush it the other way with your hand.
