At present I am only posting to the UK.
A 20g, 85m skein of beautiful, soft, hand dyed sock yarn on a 4ply, 75% merino/25% nylon base. It is suitable for all sorts of projects when only a small amount of a particular colour is required.
The yarn is machine washable on cool and then dried flat although I prefer to hand wash and dry flat. Do Not Tumble Dry, it will ruin your garment!
Please be aware that while I do my best to show the true colour of the yarn, it can vary from monitor to monitor.
Postage is by Royal Mail 2nd class. Up to 5 skeins may be accommodated in a box that will fit through most letterboxes. Larger quantities are sent by Royal Mail 2nd class signed for.
My foray into hand dyed yarn came about when I was unable to find the right colour for a sweater I was working on. I was a regular vendor at my local monthly farmers' market selling 100g skeins of yarn when I was asked by a group of weavers if I could supply my yarns in smaller quantities. Naturally I obliged. Word spread and |i found embroiderers also frequenting my stall.
My semi solids proved very popular to the point where, these days, I dye far more small skeins than large. Each skein varies slightly even though they may be from the same dye bath. When used they can create a subtle cloudy, marbles, mottled or variegated effect but I cannot guarantee which, that is in the eye of the beholder.
