Greeting card featuring a Helleborus niger (Christmas rose) flower. The card is blank inside so can be used for all occasions.
7x5inch size, made from entirely recycled card stock which leaves slight speckling visible in the card. Comes with a Kraft brown envelope, but no cellophane card wrap as I am keen to keep plastic packaging down (plus they are just so fiddly!).
Each order is tied with twine, wrapped in recyclable tissue paper and finally packaged in strong kraft paper - so all materials can be recycled or reused whilst keeping the cards safe in the post.

I originally wanted to design my own Christmas cards, using alternative bird and plant subjects to the traditional ones of robins and mistletoe, and design the cards in such a way that they can be used for all occasions throughout the year, not just Christmas specifically. The Helleborus niger plant is known as the Christmas rose due to its flowers’ resemblance to wild roses. Despite this the plant is actually a member of the buttercup family, flowering between January and March and growing easily in shaded borders due to its hardy nature. The flowers are usually pure white or with pale pink hints as I’ve depicted here, and provide bees with crucial pollen during the winter months.
