I have been walking along the coastline and across the hills, inspired by the book 'Windswept' by Annabel Abbs. Now, I'm busy working up ideas developing from these walks.

Journey Mapping is the collective title of my latest stitched pieces. M aim is to capture the experience of a particular place and moment in time. Here, a rain squall sweeps across the sea. The horizon becomes fugitive as water becomes the dominant element. Land and sky are viewed through a veil of water. Strong dark lines show direction but the composition deliberately confuses the sense of what is land and what is sea. The squall will pass and order will return but for now water dominates the elements.
