Whilst studying at Glasgow school of Art, a Japanese classmate introduced me to the beautiful origami paper. She showed me how to make small boxes to keep scrap metal and beads safe on our workbenches. These experiments led to my desire to strengthen the origami paper to make these beautiful delicate colours part of everyday life.
