Item details

An original hand pulled drypoint print of a bumble bee. I have originally drawn the image onto a printing plate using a steel scribe. The plate is then inked, wiped, polished then printed using an etching press onto damp paper all by hand by me.

This is a rectangular image measuring 6 x 10cm hand printed using vegetable oil based etching inks onto heavyweight Fabriano Rosapina printmakers paper.

The image is mounted in an acid free soft white card mount with backboard ready for framing. Overall size is 23 x 23cm.

There are 20 of these prints in the small edition and this one is no 7. Once all sold they are not repeated and because they are all hand inked and printed by me each one is slightly different, making these prints a truly unique handmade item.

Spring is nearly around the corner and soon we will hopefully start seeing lots of these chaps buzzing around our gardens, fields and countryside. Quietly minding their own busy business of collecting pollen whilst also pollinating all our flowers and veggie plants for us, for free, as they go about their day.
Oh and also making wonderfully tasty honey for us too...
