Large and bold, this necklace is a statement costume jewellery piece. Light and durable it is made from recycled polycarbonate and aluminium CDs cut and then heated to create a subtle bubbly green-glass like effect. This necklace is hung with silver plated findings on silver knotting cord which can be adjusted to hang at different levels to suit your outfit. The pieces are silver on one side and pale green in the reverse. It can be worn with either side showing.

I had been making small light pieces to be worn as pendants. I wanted to maximise the amount of CD that I was using. This necklace uses most of one CD. I love the effect of heating the CD and the glass like effect that results. As the material is so light it lends itself to larger pieces. I thought it needed to be adjustable, the shape sits well just between the choker and princess neck lines. And the bonus is it's fully reversible.
