Lancashire Hotpot Pot - Hand Thrown Pottery

Lancashire Hotpot Pot - Hand Thrown Pottery
Love this

This is a copy of a traditional Lancashire hotpot dish. It's the type use by my grandma back in the day to make make hotpot and meat and tattie pie with crust on top.
It is hand thrown on a potters wheel and fired to 1255°c.
It has clear glaze on the inside as the originals did but I have used transparent green glaze on the outside. The original pots were usually brown.
If you want to make proper Lancashire hotpot then you need to use a proper Lancashire hotpot pot.
It holds over 3.5 pints.
Approximately 11.5 cm high and 21 cm diameter at the top
