The snowdrop is a hardy little plant, surviving in the hard frosty ground, determinedly pushing their way through the snow, even when the ground is frozen hard. This painting was done from snowdrops found in my garden. Their delicate beauty amazes me and there are many varieties. This is the simple, yet beautiful native variety . It's presence brings hope of warmer weather and being able to spend more time out in the garden, it's a sure sign of spring.
