I have always had pet rabbits, and so when I began painting in gouache the first thing I wanted to do was play with how I could draw sweet rabbits in different colours and moods. I loved how this rabbit came out, with a whimsical feel on a rainy blue background. I modelled him on my own rescue rabbit, Everest.
