Rabbits are, by far, the animal I draw the most. I love to produce work in series, and the Major Arcana in tarot gave me the prompts and structure I work really well within. I have enjoyed interpreting the card meanings in the context of rabbits, as well as trying to communicate through the use of symbols. I used to walk through a field of borage (star flower) on my way to work and was always overwhelmed by the sense of delight I felt seeing their star shapes and vibrant purples...when I started to paint The Star I knew I had to include the same starflowers in the surrounding landscape.
