Turquoise is thought to be symbolic of our roots – quite appropriate for a leaves necklace. It is the birthstone for Sagittarius and known as a stone of friendship in many cultures, believed to attract fortune and prosperity. Copper, ruled by Venus, is believed to symbolise love, nurture and healing. All good reasons to suggest this necklace could make a lovely meaningful and unusual gift option for occasion such as a graduation, or a seventh wedding anniversary when it's traditional to give copper, or simply as a meaningful gift for someone whom you feel may might benefit from it's mojo.

I make all elements of my necklaces including the clasp and chain. The leaves are individually hand cut, annealed, beaten and formed and then patinated with flame until they have acquired the desired appearance. Crystalline wax preserves this effect. The necklace chain is made up with scrolls and rosette links and an elegant S clasp and has been sympathetically oxidised.
