Celebrate your favourite women in science with these fantastic fabric button key rings or bag charms! Created from 100% cotton fabric printed with loads of Science heroes on a cheery yellow background, here’s a choice of four female Science Heroes - Ada Lovelace, Rosalind Franklin, Marie Curie or Grace Hopper! Each button has their surname, the year of their birth and a drawing epitomising what they are famous of discovering!

All had brilliant minds and excelled in their fields of maths or science: Ada Lovelace - Mathematician, an image of a calculation machine; Grace Hopper - Computer Scientist, has a computer, Marie Curie - nuclear symbol and Rosalind Franklin - English Chemist, has an image of the double helix structure of DNA.
I created 38mm diameter fabric covered flat backed buttons, with slight padding to create a nice slight domed effect, then secured it into a round metal tray blank that has a lovely dotty pattern to the reverse. This button setting was then attached to a key chain with split ring and large lobster clasp, you can attach to your bag, backpack or anywhere you want!
There are two colour finishes to choose from: Black plated with gunmetal finish key chain (measures 11cm in total), or antique bronze plated with extra chain length (measures 13cm in total).
This lovely unique keyring will come to you safe and carefully packaged in a UK Made eco-friendly recycled kraft card jewellery box - perfect for gifting to that Science geek!

Here's a a bit more about these fantastic women in science:

Rosalind Franklin (1920 -1958) - Is best known for her work on the X-ray diffraction images of DNA – in particular Photo 51 – which led to the discovery of the DNA double helix for which others received the Nobel Prize in Physiology or Medicine in 1962.

Ada Lovelace (1815 – 1852): Was an English Mathematician and writer, mainly known for her work on Charles Babbage’s proposed Analytical Engine (computer). She widely regarded as one of the first computer programmers.

Grace Brewster Murray Hopper (1906 – 1992) was an American computer scientist and United States Navy rear admiral. One of the first programmers of the Harvard Mark I computer, she was a pioneer of computer programming who invented one of the first linkers.
