Lundy Sculpture Stand is designed to allow glass artists to display their work in a practical and decorative way as an interior sculpture.
Lundy Sculpture Stand will allow you to display a 150mm circular piece of glass art or ceramics.
From the photo you can see that the glass sits in the v groove of the angled metal.
This holds the glass securely. If you want it to be permanent I would advise holding with silicon.
This stands at a height of approximately 40cm.
The base is a 12cm disc which has been dished.
The stands are hand forged by me in Little Duck Forge, Portsmouth.
The mild steel has been oiled and waxed for interior use.
Please be aware that no 2 our completely identical.
Local collection from the forge is available, please get in touch.
Photo pictured with Glass from Matt Adkins of Glass Relief and Dee McNamara as examples of what can be done but the only limit is your imagination.
I am obsessed with the sea and crashing waves, the power and beauty always enthrals me. Over the years I have made images of rolling waves in felt and paintings as well as moving on to sculptures in copper and glass. This is inspired by the rolling form of a good surfing wave although it's simple form can be transformed by the glass that is inserted making a contemporary sculpture to suit any environment.
