A signed, original piece of felt art.

Handmade in the UK.

'HEATH'

This felt painting is absolutely full of texture and fibres. It has shades of blue and yellow wool for the sky and greens and browns for the fields.
Little pops of colour, silk and shimmery Angelina fibres and machine embroidery highlight the sky and sunset.

Lots of machine embroidery and vibrant felt is used to create the heathland and there is cute sheep grazing in the corner of the field.

Made using wool from our flock of North Country Mule Ewes (please see my about section for more information) along with Merino wool and silk fibres.

This picture was made by alternating many layers of wool then wet felting followed by needle felting and finally free motion embroidery. A technique that takes many hours.

This original signed felt art is presented in a white frame without glass.

If you have seen my other work, you will know I'm a little obsessed with colour and texture. Heathland with Heather growing on it lends itself perfectly to being recreated in wool and thread.
