A fabric storage basket made from designer label and vintage fabrics.

This small-sized storage basket has been made using a linen fabric called 'Arboreto' by the Design House Zoffany (from 1998), featuring large, stylised blooms, small flowers and leaves in lovely shades of terracotta, fresh green and yellow on a soft-yellow/cream background.

The inner fabric is a vintage Liberty of London cotton called 'Willow' (adapted from William Morris) in a complementary terracotta shade set on a pale cream background.

The basket has been trimmed using a velvet pom-pom braid in a 'honey' colour.

Both fabrics have been interfaced to provide good structure to the basket, although it can be collapsed flat if required.

The basket measures approximately 17 cm high (not including the turned down rim which measures 3 cm), 20 cm wide and 13 cm deep.

I found this high quality piece of Zoffany linen fabric in my local charity shop last year and have been itching to recycle it into something both lovely to look at as well as useful.

This would make perfect storage for those balls of wool and knitting needles or you could fill it with fresh bread rolls to serve on the breakfast table!
