This Canal & River Trust Licence holder is designed to be screwed to the side of your narrowboat window frame. It is made to suite the size of the licences that you print yourself at home. It is made in two separate parts held together by a strong magnet. The part you screw to the window frame is 180mm tall, 20mm wide and 24mm deep. It has two pilot holes for your screws, a strong magnet and a locating peg. The licence holder is about 175 mm tall and 94 mm wide and 24 mm front to back. The idea is that you line up a hole in the licence holder with the peg on the part screwed to the frame and the two parts snap together and are held in place by the magnet. It means you can easily remove the holder when you want to clean your windows. The overall width once screwed in place is 117mm. A small piece of plastic 'Liteglaze' holds the licence in place. Inside the boat you will be able to see the back of the holder which is plain and simple except for a marble light catcher. The holder is finished with three coats of Danish oil which give it a silky matt moisture resistant finish. The price is for a pair.
Mr Shipshape says: "These will stop your boat licence turning to mush. Is that blob of black stuff at the bottom of your window really your licence?"
