This beautiful cascade of hearts consists of 8 hearts strung together. The hearts are made from carefully sourced vintage blankets, which I process to create a felted fabric which is strong, doesn’t fray and is beautifully tactile. The hearts are hand embroidered and embellished with tiny beads. The cascade is embellished on both sides. Each cascade is approximately 86cm from the top of the first heart to the bottom of the last heart. The springy fabric cord is cut with a generous allowance at the top for ease of hanging and is made from recycled tee shirts!!
The cascades look pretty hanging away slightly away from the wall to allow the hearts to swing a little. They can be hung together to form a “curtain” or hung individually from a door handle, kitchen cabinet, end of curtain pole or against a window.
Each cascade is individual and unique.

My "Sweetpea" cascade is a delicious combination of pinks, purples, blues and lilacs, reminiscent of a bed of showy sweetpeas at the height of summer!

I love all fabrics and embroidery but especially the feel and texture you get from ‘felting’ 100% wool. I use the process of wet and dry needle felting to create this base fabric which I then adorn with minute hand stitching and beading.
I started with the bunting made from pennants strung horizontally, but realised that equally lovely were smaller pennants hung vertically. Hearts and circles are enduring symbols and I found I could produce beautiful “cascades” as I call them, with vibrant contrasting colours. Each cascade will be sent to you in a pretty drawstring organza bag, which you can, of course, reuse. No unnecessary packaging!
What you see in this listing is exactly the cascade you will receive, more will appear over time on Folksy, but other than sticking to the colour combinations, every single one will be different and unique! I
