I cut up the base of the pond in a slab of clay and added some small balls of clay around to look like rocks containing water (glass!) and built the bridge and path before adding some bushes on the side. After bisque firing, I stained the rocks and bridge with red iron oxide and applied four different glazes to give the rocks more texture and colour. I stained the bottom of the pool with cobalt oxide and placed some broken glass (clear, blue and turquoise) inside. I then put it back in the kiln, this time to 1200°C.
