Handmade Valentine cards created with original collaged and stitched materials.
Layers of found and recycled papers and hand-made, recycled heat-bonded plastics are mounted and stitched onto recycled or FSC card.

The heat-bonded plastics are made with recycled plastic carrier bags, recycled bubble wrap and off-cuts of iridescent cellophane. These are painted, melted together, and cut into strips.
The cards are A6 size on bright red card with a white envelope. They are made in small, limited edition batches of a maximum of up to 10.

The colours, placement of prints, papers and stitching will vary on each card, making each one totally unique.
The cards can be successfully mounted and framed to create a lovely gift.

I have always loved finding and collecting decorative, discarded papers, stationery, and packaging. They are then gathered into different colour schemes and collaged with the melted, recycled plastics that I make into sheets and then cut into strips. The collaging process abstracts and isolates the patterns or textures on the papers, emphasising them in different ways.
