An adult-sized female face mask made of pure 100% silk satin by Liberty - Belgravia Satin Silk 'Tree of Eden' on the front and reverse of the mask.

This lustrously-coloured print features twining stems and a multitude of blooms and leaves in gorgeous shades of red, pink and green, all set on a dark navy-blue background. The photos don't do the colours justice.

The mask consist of 2-layers of silk only (i.e. it is not interlined as all my other masks are) and measures approximately 20 cm wide by 13 cm high from nose bridge to chin and is fixed to the face using navy blue soft round elastic.

I started making a few pure silk masks in response to a friend of my daughter who not only finds multi-layered masks claustrophobic to wear but they also cause frequent breakouts of 'maskne' (mask acne).

This pure silk satin by Liberty of London is feather-light, very comfortable to wear and you almost cannot feel the soft elastic around the ears.

In addition, silk does have hypoallergenic properties, is breathable, cool and is the best fabric to have against sensitive skin (which is why I back all my eye masks with it to help protect the delicate skin around the eye area).

You will need to wash this mask by hand in warm soapy water (just soak gently for 10 minutes in a delicates soap solution), rinse and squeeze gently and allow to dry naturally. (DO NOT MACHINE WASH OR TUMBLE DRY). After washing it can be lightly ironed but use a cotton hanky between the iron and the mask.

Your mask will come safely wrapped in a fully compostable cellophane sleeve inside the parcel.
