My mountain of vintage fabrics is usually the inspiration for my children’s wear.
Some people start with a drawing, I start with the fabrics and patterns.
Looking at the brown floral, which was once a duvet cover, I thought oh a bear, must do a bear. After a bit of doodling a bear appeared in my sketchbook... then the magic putting him together.
Grizzly first appeared on a grey sweatshirt ( which I will be making more of ) but then I found these beautiful sunflower yellow T-shirt’s which you see before you.
I find it very hard to throw anything away, I love being able to give unwanted things like these fabrics a new lease of life.
