A beautiful handmade sketchbook with a unique Ecoprint cover printed using real leaves and natural dyes and sealed with acrylic wax to protect it..
It contains 35 pages ( 70 sides) of 200gsm white cartridge paper.
The paper is suitable for pen, pencil and other dry media and also paint and ink. A great gift for an artist or journaller.
The front and back cover are made of 300g watercolour paper Ecoprinted using acer and beech and oak leaves using a complex one off process involving natural dyes..
The book is hand bound with French stitch and kettle stitch in hand dyed linen thread. The binding allows the book to open out flat throughout.
It would be ideal as a handy sketchbook for a printer or painter. It would also make a good journal or notebook
The book measures 10.5 x 15 x 1.5 cm ( 4 1/4" x 6" x 1/4")

Inspiration
During the last year I have enjoyed revisiting natural dyeing and making Ecoprints from leaves onto paper and fabric. Here I've used some of my one off Ecoprints to make beautiful paper covers for the books I make.
