A unique and really unusual conical shadow casting table light created from an old, unloved and discarded Legnoart cheese grater.
The turned Lime collection bowl has been cleaned, sanded, sealed with natural oils and finished with beeswax and a simple brass lamp fitting has been fitted into the base.
The Conical grater has again been cleaned and finished with a black gloss paint and the Oak finial has been sanded, sealed with natural oils and finished with a beeswax polish.
The light is supplied with a bayonet fitting LED bulb and the three sets of gating perforations cast unusual and interesting shadows.
A really interesting & unique table light which creates distinctive lighting patterns and shadows.

I really enjoy making lights and relish the challenges that using upcycled materials present. I found the grater at a local car boot, it was in a very sorry state, I the conical shape and perforation patterns appealed and I knew that it would make a really interesting light if I could wire the lime base.
I hope you think I was right in my assumptions
