Bit of a cheat, this, as I didn't actually knit this, my grandmother did. We found it in her stuff after she died, all parcelled up with other things she'd made. I know it had never been worn as I'm the only person in the family that it would have fitted and when we found it was the first time I'd ever seen it.
She was a fanatical machine knitter (she had something like three knitting machines at once) and she was heartbroken when she had to stop because her arthritis got so bad.
As I say in the description, there's no point me keeping it as I already have - literally - a lifetime's supply of her jumpers (that are so hard-wearing, they'll likely out-live me too!), so it would be good for it to go to a new home with someone who would appreciate it properly.
It was made well before 2011, maybe in the 1960s or 1970s, or even 1950s, perhaps, it's just that January 2011 is the earliest date that Folksy will let me choose.
