Carved by hand in a beautiful piece of silver birch from Epping Forest. It has truly amazing grain with natural darker flecks and feels very comfortable in your hand. Perfect for spreading butter and jam on your toast, icing cakes, cutting soft cheese and using in your non-stick pans. It has a handy hole if you like to hang your utensils and easy to wash.
Size approx 17.5cm long and 3cm wide at the knife edge. The knives are similar but slightly different to each other - grain pattern variations and colour changes, all are beautiful and wonderful to use...
I have made several more of these in the last couple of weeks - similar to this one but as always with all my products having slightly different grain patterning according to how the tree felt whilst it was growing and my mood whilst carving the wood...

I live on the edges of Epping Forest on one side of Waltham Abbey an stroll there with my lurcher Jed several times a week. Often I pick up small lengths of freshly cut branches and this one had such a pleasing grain and colour it just cried out to be carved into butter knives. That's just what I did beside the fire when I returned home.
