Whenever I see an old fashioned sweet shop in a living museum, I will always buy bags of sweets that I once enjoyed as a child from the corner shops in my hometown of Manchester.
The last time I visited a shop like this, I excitedly chose sherbert limes, sherbert lemons and rosy apples. After seeing the striped bag they were placed in, I was instantly taken back to those good old days and I didn't want the feeling to end.
That's when I decided it was time to turn this wonderful retro bag of sweets into this nostalgic still life screen print.
