The cover design of this pocket sized notebook has been created by taking a relief print from my original collagraph printing plate Swallows over grassland.
The original print has now sold out but it’s good to be able to repurpose the plate to print the covers for one of my hand bound, small chunky sketchbooks.
Printed in a rich Prussian blue lightfast vegetable oil ink, on an etching press all from Hawthorn Inks based in York.
The covers are all hand made and bound by me using the hand printed paper on the exterior of the covers.
As I hand print all the covers for my hard backed notebooks and hand bind them, each one will be unique.
