Maroon and Blue
Description
This is the smallest in the butterfly series, measuring approx.6 x 4 inches or 15.5 cm by 10,5 cm. This would be perfect in a box frame sitting on a mantle piece or a welsh dresser. The silver thread running through it gives it a fairytale- like feel and the maroon colour gives the piece warmth.
note; the use of organza laid over silk means that there might be a slight colour variance from the photographs
Inspiration
This is part of the butterfly series. I created the pieces as a comment of the transient nature of life brought home to us all during the pandemic.
