Welcome to Janiemade and my little corner of Folksy where you can buy my crocheted creations. If you're looking for skilfully handmade gifts and home decor I hope you'll find something you love. I enjoy crocheting with natural fibres, mainly cotton, and many of my home decor items use recycled braided cotton cord or recycled cotton T shirt yarn. All items are ready to post and I only charge postage on your first item. Your order will be sent by Royal Mail 2nd class post.

I've always been attracted to miniature things and wanted to try microcrocheting. I was given some very small metal crochet hooks years ago, but had never used them. This is made from the second smallest hook in my collection, I would have to use magnifying glasses to use the smallest one!
I love granny squares so decided to try making a teeny tiny one with vintage sewing thread and some single strands of embroidery thread. It's amazing how much thread is used to make such a small item. As with all crochet my least favourite part is sewing in the ends and it was a real challenge here as the square can be seen from both sides so I had to hide the ends very carefully.
I'm happy to make more of these in your choice of colours, if you are looking for a small gift for a friend, or to treat yourself!
