Description
Handmade porcelain vessels with floral panted and etched design using Mishima inlay techniques. “Porcelain People is a new series of slab-built vessels. They are illustrated with sketchbook observations on a variety of themes. Gail combines mishima inlay, sgraffito and thin colour wash painting in the decoration.” Do not hold water purely decorative.
Inspiration
A pair of porcelain vessels telling personal stories taken from my sketchbooks. Each year I have drawn and painted this plant in watercolours, it's bright red crisp shape against the white walls in Calahonda, Andalucia is somewhere and something that I have missed in these Covid times.
