Ever since I can remember, I've always loved drawing and was always seemed to end up doodling faces and fashion drawings.
This lead me to study fashion design and then onto become a professional designer. My 'day job' however doesn't actually involve as much creativity as I'd like, so my illustrations are the outlet where I can go back to my roots and my love of drawing. I'm still inspired by the world of fashion so this may have an influence on my work and the subjects I use.
I usually sketch my ideas by hand first before scanning them into my powerful, iMac computer. They start to take shape as I spend many hours adjusting/colouring/adding layers and textures digitally. The reason I love working digitally is so that I can 'play' with the drawing and experiment with colours without having to keep rubbing out or draw from scratch every time. I don't rush this part of the process as I really enjoy where it takes me.
