An adult female-sized face mask made from 100% pure embroidered silk.

The mask consist of 2 layers of pure silk fabric in a gorgeous raspberry pink with embroidered classical motifs such as swags, ribbons and stylised plant leaves and is fitted to the face using very soft round elastic in a complementary soft red colour.

The face mask measures 21 cm wide and 14 cm tall from nose bridge to chin.

I made this mask in response to a friend of my daughter who not only finds multi-layered masks claustrophobic to wear but they also cause frequent breakouts of 'maskne' (mask acne).

The silk is feather-light on the face and you almost cannot feel the soft elastic around the ears. In addition, silk is the best fabric to have against sensitive skin (which is why I back all my eye masks with it to help protect the delicate skin around the eye area).

I have had this exquisitely embroidered raw silk in my fabric collection for a number of years - it is a beautiful shade of raspberry pink (it is more pink than in the photos) and it has made the most stylish of masks.

You will need to wash this mask by hand in warm soapy water (just soak gently for 10 minutes in a delicates soap solution), rinse and squeeze gently and allow to dry naturally. (DO NOT MACHINE WASH OR TUMBLE DRY).

Your mask will come safely wrapped in a fully compostable cellophane sleeve inside the parcel.
