Miniature patchwork doll’s house quilt set
Description
This little patchwork quilt has tiny rose embroideries in some of the patches and the same embroidery, overlaid several times, in the centre.
I have incorporated wadding in the central area of the quilt.
The backing is the same fabric as the pillowcases.
I made the quilt with a double bed in mind, but I think it would look lovely on a single bed too.
The pillowcases are white cotton with a little rose bud print and have been stitched with a decorative satin stitch on one edge. The pillow pads have a polyester filling.
The sizes are approximately -
Quilt - 6 x 7 inches
Pillows - 2.5 x 1.75 inches
Cushions - 2 x 2 inches
Small cushion - 1.75 x 1.75 inches
So the quilt “hugs” the bed, dampen well with a misting spray and mould into shape. This is the technique I’ve used for the photos, though you could use a few pins.
The bed I have used measures 6.5 x 5 inches and the height to top of mattress is 2 inches.
The flowers and table are not included in the price.
