A small make-up/ toiletries purse made from Liberty 'Christmas fabric' and Pure Silk Dupion.

The outer fabric of the purse is from the Liberty 'Christmas' collection featuring an array of 'cavorting' animals preparing for the big day, including: crown-wearing frogs and monkeys, owls carrying snow globes and Christmas lights, bears hugging the famous purple Liberty bags, elephants carrying star-topped Christmas trees, monkeys pulling crackers, frogs sitting beneath the mistletoe - all set within mountains of presents, mince pies and stars on a snow-white background.

The outer fabric is slightly padded using pure cotton wadding to give a soft body to the extra fine outer and inner fabrics.

The purse is lined with a bright egg-yolk yellow pure silk dupion and finished with a white zip and 'red squirrel' tassel (from the London-based hip-haberdasher VV Rouleaux).

The cosmetic purse measures approximately 23 cm by 16 cm.

I just love this seasonal Liberty print which is full of the fun and magic and would would help bring out the child in us all this Christmas!.

It was Inspired by the Liberty London store interior and features a host of animals busily preparing for the festive season.

Although great fun, it is one of their famous and high quality Tana Lawn fabrics which is extra fine, cool and durable with a silk-like feel and allows for brilliant reproduction of Liberty’s lustrous colours and prints and is made using a bespoke process that has been fine-tuned by Liberty Fabric experts over the last 100 years.
