Description

A stoneware lidded dish with the red/white colour variations reflecting the melting and thickness of the glaze on the lid top and in the textile and stamped markings. The dish is perfect for butter or your small precious items. It was hand-built with a UK white stoneware and, after biscuit firing and glazing the piece was fired to 1300C to make it impermeable and very durable.
- The dish is food, oven, microwave, and dishwasher safe and measures approximately 10cm tall and 12cm wide.
- The bottoms is impressed with my seal, the letter P, and its identity number 9857.

Inspiration

I enjoy hand-building lidded dishes because I am told by returning customers that they often get used regularly. I want to engage with people by providing them with something thoughtfully handmade that fits into their daily routine. I take care to make my dishes with a well-fitting lid to add to the pleasure of their use. The knob on the lid is imprinted to collect glaze and there are small feet at the corners to add visual interest.
