These linen aprons are made from a medium weight, plain, undyed, natural linen fabric which will be hard wearing.
The patch pockets are cut from the remains of a lovely stylised lily flower print, linen fabric with white lilies on long stems with mustard yellow centres. The pockets have been divided into two sections.
I have been able to match the mustard yellow with the cotton webbing used for the waist and neck ties and to finish the tops of the bib and pockets.
The arm edges are bound with a bias made from the lily print fabric.
The neck fastening is a loop and knot system to allow for adaptability and comfort.

CARE:

wash at 40C and steam iron on med to high

All fabrics are pre-washed to allow for shrinkage

I wanted to use up the left over pieces of this lovely fabric and found there was enough for two apron pockets. I matched the printed fabric with a natural, undyed linen that is a similar grey to the printed fabric background.
The mustard yellow ties and features give the whole apron a bright, sunny feel.
