Sold as a pair, a combination of a small wooden box and single hook both made from wood taken from an old garden planter. The box would make an ideal storage space for a few pencils. I have left the wood painted as found, and as with most of my boxes it is constructed using a lap joint on all four sides. Reclaimed brass hinges have been fixed to the exterior, and an ancient nail has been added to open and close the box. it has been finished in a natural clear wax.

The hook is ideal for hanging on the back of a door. The painted wood has again had a light coat of wax. The black hook itself is a reclaimed find.

I particularly loved the original paint on the wood used here, it adds a certain charm. I always find it somewhat of a visual treat when working with old painted wood, particularly if the wood has had many layers of paint through the years.
