Print and pattern most definitely hold a special place in my heart. As do good magazines (fun fact: I used to be a magazine editor for many years). One of my favourite magazines is an Australian one called Lunch Lady, produced by the talented duo that created Frankie many moons ago.

Lunch Lady is known for its amazing recipes and feature articles, but it's also beautifully designed throughout. One of their back covers caught my eye one day. I really loved the painterly patches of colour they'd combined with simple brush marks. It inspired me to create my own version using a selection of underglazes.

What I really like about the end result is that it all goes together. I guess you could say the same about desserts. You don't have to limit yourself to just one. In my house we call it a 'medley'. I'd totally recommend it.
