The birds and their feet are individually cut and finished by hand. They are fired twice, after the bisque firing they are hand painted and each one is unique as I continue to experiment with glaze combinations. This bird was fired to earthenware temperatures, chosen for the interesting glaze which means this piece is not suitable for outdoors.
The feet are attached with wire coated with hessian cord so the feet swing freely. A hook on the back is for wall mounting.
Dimensions are approx.21x19x1cm (8.5 x7.5 x 0.5inches)

I live in an amazing place with rolling hills, wildlife and nature and spend free time touring around other beautiful amazing places in Scotland. So I have loads of opportunities to observe the changing shapes, colours and textures throughout the seasons.
