I am never one to pass up free raw materials and bottles often come in such good quality glass that it seems a crime to just smash them up for recycling. You may well recognise which brand of gin used to be in this distinctively coloured bottle!
To create the vase I cut off the top of the bottle and ground the glass smooth, before sandblasting the design on and finishing the surface with a protective coating.
