These mixed media baubles are such a fun project as I never know what the final outcome will be. The main technique I use is marbling which is such fun choosing the colours and seeing how each piece comes out. After that I see whether anything else needs adding; like a paint splatter or two. I like adding raised pearlescent drops to add some texture.

With this bauble I love the clash of black and red and chose to paint the 'cap' in a gold tone that I felt give the piece more decadence.

This is a great gift to add to any home for the seasonal period. I think tree decorations should be personal to the owner whether that colour or style taste; it's so much nicer to have a handmade piece than shop-bought plastic. And having a ceramic one like this is one you'll treasure whether it's your first or an additive to your growing collection.
