Item details

Single small mugwort and rosemary smoke cleansing bundle. The mugwort is ethically wildcrafted, and the bundles are then hand-tied with natural cotton and hemp string and dried.

Mugwort has a pleasant smell when burned and has long been used in cleansing and purification or to enhance dreaming. Hanging mugwort over doors or windows of the home is said to ward away evil or restless spirits. Mugwort is one of the plants named in the Saxon "nine-herbs charm" - supposedly one of the most powerful healing spells in Anglo-Saxon medicine. It can also be burned to assist divination.

Rosemary is another powerful cleansing herb which has been used for centuries for purification. The rosemary in these bundles comes from my own garden :)

The small bundles are approximately 21cm in length. Please note listing is for single bundle, all measurements are approximate due to natural variations

I use mugwort and rosemary a lot in my practice. mugwort is a commonly overlooked roadside plant that is often treated like a weed. However it has many magical properties. It helps to open the third eye chakra and so is very useful for use in dream pillows or burned to assist in divination. It is also a very powerful cleansing and protection herb.

When I am collecting mugwort and rosemary for my bundles I always spend time with the plant, and request its permission to be used this way. If permission is given to collect it I always leave an offering of thanks, and always ensure enough is left for the plant to continue growing.
