Item details

The fish are individually cut and finished by hand. They are fired twice, after the bisque firing they are glazed and fired up to stoneware temperatures. These fish are 18cm and 14cm long. They are mounted on wood which has been hand finished with varnish and then waxed which brings out the beautiful grain of the wood..

The overall size is approx. 22cm(h) x 20cm(w) x 4cm(d) and is free standing.

All my work is inspired by wildlife, nature and amazing landscapes in Scotland. I especially like combining the natural textures and colours of wood with pleasing ceramic shapes as I feel they work so well together.
