A unique house-warming gift, salt anniversary gift, or a gift for anyone who enjoys cooking and homewares. Customers are also using them to store garlic, eggs, chillies and even plants.

After months of struggling to source the perfect salt cellar, I decided to design one myself. I wanted the design to feel both natural and organic, leaving the outside unglazed, glazing only the inside. The turning lines on the outside of the salt cellar are the result of a happy accident!

Two sizes available:

REGULAR
Larger than most salt cellars, it can easily take one full box of Maldon salt. Measures 45cm in circumference, 15cm high and 15cm wide, with a generous 9cm diameter opening and sits on a gentle pivot, making it easy to get your hand into when.

COMPACT
Takes about half a box of Maldon salt. Measures 40cm in circumference, 11.5cm high, 11cm wide, with a 7.5cm opening. Also sits on a gentle pivot.

Please note:
This item is handmade from a natural material, so each item will be slightly different.
Best to hand wash in soapy water and, from time to time, rub with a paste of bicarbonate of soda and water to remove grime build up.
Wooden spoon not included.

Over the years of sourcing products for my online homewares business, I could never find quite the right salt cellar .... so I decided to design and manufacture one myself. I wanted a salt cellar that was equally practical, but also a piece of art, adding a natural, understated elegance to the home.

The turning lines on the outside of the cellar are the result of a happy accident, and one that I decided to keep. My husband's hand was used to measure the generous opening, ensuring that it was practical for all hand sizes.

I really loved being so close to the creative process and am currently expanding my own range, so keep a look out for my future products.
