My work is all about papercrafting. Here I use a combination of the traditional skill of quilling, together with the more contemporary craft paper cutting. Both are done by hand, and whereas one takes time, the other takes skill.

This beautiful framed picture depicts a hand cut image of a bird perched in a tree. The card floats over a layer of quilled paper in shades of green.
An ideal gift or a wonderful indulgence, the simple styling and single colour use means that it would look great in any home.

The frame can sit on a shelf or be hung and has a convenient and safe plexiglass front.

Frame size: 23cm x 23cm x 5cm

N.B. As the pictures are made from card and paper, it is not advisable to use in areas of high moisture, e.g. a bathroom.

In the early days of my quilling journey, I made a few pictures of sitting birds. It's a nod to the wonders of nature. Now, as I develop my methods of papercraft, i found myself returning to this image, and of course it lends itself so well to the style of cutting a silhouette over a single colour design.
