A beautiful little coffee or tea cup . Enjoy your speciality expresso or tea in this elegant shaped little cup, which is a delight to hold.
Handmade with love, each piece is unique being individually created therefore each one maybe slightly different. I made this on my potters wheel in stoneware clay, then turned a small foot ring at the base. I fired it once before decorating with a marcacite stoneware dip glaze then fired it again at 1240 degrees centigrade.
The glaze colour is a rich brown with a metal shine and areas around the inside rim has greeny blue texture. I waxed the bottom so the base isn't glazed therefore allowing my potters mark to be seen. It is signed with 'by les' impressed on the base.
The glaze is food safe and the pot is dishwasher safe too.
The size of this petite little cup is: Height 8 cms x 7 cms rim diameter
This item will be very carefully packed with recycled packaging to help the environment. I would be pleased if you could do the same with any materials from me.
Thank you for looking at my shop. Lesley.
I am inspired by nature and my surroundings where I live. The fells that I walk with my dog also influence my work.
The shape of this piece evolved with me having the time to experiment on the potters wheel. The dainty, shapely curves reflect the outdoors and nature around me, the colour of the glaze also mirrors the robust earthy colours within the landscape.
