I am a freelance artist & illustrator who sells archival quality Art prints, greeting cards, wrapping paper, stickers, ceramic decorations, wall calendars and original pieces. My work is created using a mixture of chalk pastel, pencil and coloured pencil.

Symbolising many admirable qualities such as strength, power, wisdom, patience and memory, elephants are well known to enjoy close family ties, guided by the Matriarch, leader of the herd. Females remain with their Matriarch led families for their whole life. I chose to use surreal elements to communicate that sense of love and a deep connectedness with her family. My main visual references for this piece were older female African elephants.
