Item details
Before I started making glass, a friend had a beautiful flower arrangement which I admired and she explained to me that it was an arrangement in an Ikebana. I was fascinated by this as I had loved the simplicity of the flowers. When I started to fuse glass I always had at the back of my mind that I could create an Ikebana from glass and after a bit of trial and error, I made a mould which shapes the glass in the centre sufficient to hold the kenzan pins and the water. I love creating different arrangements, especially using flowers from my garden.
