Gastornis is an extinct seven-foot terrorbird that roamed North America and Europe back in the day. This lanky horror was on display at the American Natural History Museum, where it was photographed by the artist. That photo formed the basis for the painstakingly detailed lino-cut, which was then printed on acid-free Fabriano paper using heavy oil-based ink for a unique gift. It will be delivered by first class post in a mailing tube with protective tissue paper.

I've been fascinated by extinct animals in general, and giant terrorbirds in particular, for ever, and I never pass up the chance to meet one. So having the opportunity to make this one into a lino-cut was too much to pass up.
